Our sixth brilliant guest for our ‘In conversation’ series was Katya Adler, Europe Editor, BBC News, & British Journalism Review’s Charles Wheeler Award winner 2019. She talked to Alison Phillips about her 24-year career, covering Brexit, how she deals with the crossfire from “bringing uncomfortable truths into the living room”, how she manages her family and busy working life  and the joy of working at the BBC.

Curiosity and indefatigability are the two key personality attributes needed for success – and a big dollop of enthusiasm. “I’m annoying enthused and excited by all kinds of jobs. I still love what I’m doing, hearing other people’s opinions and learning all the time. Find your niche – and don’t take no for an answer!”
