SPA National Conference & Awards 2024

The SPA (Student publication association) conference and awards show is back and WiJ is proud to be announcing the Award package for Best Project/Initiative this year!

With almost 1,300 entries, the annual awards are the UK's biggest journalism awards, which are free to enter and will be awarded at SPA’s national conference, this year to be held in Bristol. It’ll run from the 12-14th April and tickets are limited.

Former GHA Award winner and judge, Jem Collins said: "Women in Journalism has run the Georgina Henry Award for many years now, as part of our commitment to supporting innovative projects by women journalists, so we're really thrilled to be working with the Student Publication Association on the Best Project or Initiative Award, which recognises and supports innovative young journalists telling stories in new and exciting ways."

The SPA is a charity that supports, trains and awards student journalists who work on around 150 publications across the UK and Ireland. Nominations are judged by a diverse range of top editors and journalists across the UK.
