In the first of our new summer author events, Sunday Times chief correspondent Christina Lamb talks to WIJ chair Eleanor Mills about her latest book, the first major account to address the scale of sexual assault in modern conflict. Christina has won many major wards for her books and work as a foreign correspondent reporting from within numerous conflict zones, including the war in Afghanistan and more recently, child refugees disappearing in Europe and the Yazidi women abducted by ISIS in Iraq and kept as sex-slaves.
