Women in Journalism partners with Asian Media Awards

The Asian Media Awards has partnered with Women in Journalism ahead at their 12th ceremony.

The 12th Asian Media Awards ceremony will be held in Manchester on Friday 25 October. 

An official Shortlist announcement was announced on Monday 16th September at EssenseMediaCom London.

Founded by Eve Pollard, Women in Journalism is a not-for-profit organisation that provides guidance and support for members who come from diverse social and ethnic backgrounds and work across all platforms around the UK and overseas.

The Women in Journalism committee is made up of some of the most influential media personalities of our time.

A spokesperson for the AMA’s said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Women in Journalism to support the work of journalists and broadcasters.

“The organisation continues to showcase the achievements of female journalists at all levels. It is wonderful to be able to celebrate creative and original ideas and campaigns as part of our own 12th ceremony.”

Women in Journalism committee members include deputy chairs Kate Mansey, Mail on Sunday and Busola Evans House & Gardens; Laura Collins, editor Yorkshire Evening Post; Jane Martinson, Guardian columnist and journalism professor at City University (former WiJ chair) and award-winning columnist and broadcaster Yasmin Alibhai-Brown.
