Donna’s freelance masterclasses are back
Donna Ferguson, a multiple award-winning journalist for The Guardian and The Observer and a committee member of Women in Journalism, will be hosting masterclasses exclusively for our members which aim to empower as many of you as possible to make a huge success of your freelance careers.
These evening sessions will cover:
How to pitch arts and culture news stories to a national newspaper (Tuesday 4th March)
How to find quirky ideas for stories on your doorstep (Tuesday 18th March)
How I have built up my resilience as a freelance journalist (Tuesday 1st April)
These masterclasses, which sell out every year, aim to be very practical and unpick how freelance print journalism actually works, with real life examples of successful pitches and cold calling emails.
